Dears,
First, I’d like to start by saying that if you are in Amsterdam, you should join us tonight!
We are pleased to invite you to « Bad Kingdom », a conversation on early internet nostalgia. I will be introducing and moderating a discussion with theorist Geert Lovink and artist Radu Tipul Ala at post office. Together, we will explore early internet ideologies, internet cafés, and community building in contemporary digital spaces.
What does it mean to long for the early internet—its weirdness, intimacy, and DIY spirit? More importantly, how can we move beyond this nostalgic state in light of the platformized, violent, and hyper-commercial internet we now inhabit? What digital and playful communities can we imagine and hope for?

If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend the book launch of Becoming The Product at Pro QM, there is a recording!
On the 16th of June, I had the chance to present my newest book, Becoming the Product, at the library PrO QM in Berlin. I was surrounded by many friends and also some strangers, and felt very lucky to have so much great feedback and conversations around the book. If you’re curious about what was discussed, you can find the recording here:
